Remembering Kara – Forest Park – St Louis Missouri June 19th 2010

On Saturday June 19th, 2010, Kara’s family and close friends will gather at the Steinberg Skating Rink in Forest Park to dedicate a bench and two lovely trees in her honor. The bench has been provided by Kara’s immediate family. The magnolia and ginkgo trees have been provided by friends at the Gateway Chapter of the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. This will be a beautiful location in the park to remember Kara, reflect on her life outlook, and to just have a nice rest. Those who make it out to the bench site will also be able to take in a nice view of the “Joie de Vivre” (Joy of Life) sculpture by Jacques Lipchitz. In the winter, during ice skating season, Kara’s memory will live on as future generations of aspiring figure skaters take to the ice.
